One of the bad consequences of the continual development of the resident cities can be the increasing amount of discharge sanitary water to the municipal sewage water treatment plants. As a result, it is obviously necessary to enlarge the treat capacity of the existent municipal sewage water treatment plants or build new plants. Related with the water discharge quantity, the production of the sewage sludge had also augmented accompanied with the enhancement of the former. So, it would be very impendency for the treatment of sewage sludge. In general, the traditional technology which was used to handle municipal sewage water was as follows: sewage sludge concentration, sewage sludge digestion, sewage sludge dewatering, sewage sludge desiccation and incineration. As for the residue, that is, solid resulted from the above sewage sludge treatment processes, it would be disposed through the following techniques, which is ocean disposal, or lan fill, or land utilization etc. Although the above several disposal methods had many beneficial characteristics respectively, their shortage was also evident. For the sake, the concern about sewage sludge from the home and abroad was concentrated on the preparation of sewage sludge ash ceramic agitator derived from the sewage sludge ash. And the purpose of the investigation is to analyse the possibility and the feasibility for the sewage sludge ash sintering the sewage sludge ash ceramic agitator. For the purpose, the author had examined and measured the physico-chemical properties of sewage sludge ash, which is the residues originated from the sewage sludge at 600℃for 1h. Having assessed those results, the conclusion can be easily drawn that it is likely to sinter the sewage sludge ceramic agitator for sewage sludge, and the assumption that for the system which is made up from silicon dioxide—aluminum oxide—magnesium oxide, if their concents varied throughout the area which was correspond with the eutectic point (at the point the temperature is 1361℃), the sewage sludge ash can be utilized for sintering the sewage sludge ash ceramic agitator was provided. To evaluate the feasibiity for sewage sludge ash sintering sewage sludge ash ceramic agitator, the author had designed the prismatic pelleting machine. Depending on the machine, the sewage sludge ash fresh pellet can be prepared, and then at 1100℃it had been sintered for 60min in muffle oven in air atmosphere. By the process, the final product had been fabricated, being the sewage sludge ceramic agitator. After measured the mechanical properties such as compressive strength and apparent density and water absorption during 1h etc, the following conclusion can be got: it was feasible for the sewage sludge ash preparing the sewage sludge ash ceramic agitator. In the end, sewage sludge ash ceramic agitator can be used not only for various building materials and constructure materials, but also for environmental engeering.
