With the rapid development of the computer technology, the architecture of the digital shoe last processing system witnesses a fundamental change, from the traditional closed architecture to the modern open architecture. In the way of machining precision, smoothness, style, and production efficiency, the traditional shoe last processing method is unable to meet the current standards of shoe last production, hence it is of practical significance to develop high precision and high speed CNC shoe last machine, which used to produce high grade shoe last.Under the background of the Development of NC Shoe Last System project funded by Guangzhou Foshan Shi Ma Science Technology Ltd., with reference to the overall design architecture of the foreign medium and advanced level CNC system, this paper analyzes several realization program of the openness and economy of CNC shoe last machine. By comparing the feasibility and advantages and disadvantages of various options, Finally, we adopt the design scheme of the CNC shoe last machine system with open architecture, based on the high speed filed bus-MECHATROLINK and NC embedded PC architecture.In terms of hardware, it is the first time that the Japanese Yaskakawa's MP2100 Motion Controller, servo drives and servo motor used for the system hardware design. As for software, it uses the motion control interface API function pertain to MP2100 Motion Control Board, combined with MPE720, ladder program, motion program to establish the upper management software and CNC driver program design. At particular, in the realization of the real-time shoe last information update, it creatively introduced the virtual axis design ideas to solve the technical problems of the real-time synchronization of four axes in the CNC shoe last machine processing.The content of this thesis is about the overall design and realization of the open and economical CNC shoe last system. To certain extent, it also gives guidance to the design of domestic economical CNC system with open architecture.
