A Study Of The Treatment Of Waste Water Discharged During Viscose Stamp Fibre Production

Viscose fibre is an important chemical fibre and its status in chemical fibre industry is only next to polyester. Viscose fibre enjoys good physical and mechanical and servicing qualities. Its raw material comes from plant fibrin which is renewable and considerable. In the current situation, petroleum resource is short of supplying. Thus to produce viscose fibre using the renewable and recycle farming and forest resource as raw material is of significant meaning. However, due to the"Three-waste"discharged during its production process, especially because the wastewater is hard to be biodegraded. And plus it contains a lot of Zn salt and sulfide and causes serious environment pollution. Those are the main reasons why the viscose fibre production has been kept stagnated for the past 20 years. Therefore, it is of great social and environmental benefits to study the wastewater treatment technology .This paper cites waste water treatment project of Birla Jingwei Fibre Co.,ltd (former Hubei Jingwei Chemical Fibre Co.,ltd) during its viscose fibre production as an example and studies the treatment of waste water caused by viscose stamp fibre production.There is 12,000m3/d wastewater produced by Birla Jingwei Fibre Co.,ltd during its viscose fibre production. This company's waste water treatment system uses physical and biological two-stage treatment. Physical treatment uses waste water acid-alkaki counteraction, sulfides-removing by aeration stripping and Zn removing using lime cream. Biological treatment uses activated sludge method. The paper also analyses the bubble and crystal and dirt-forming during the wastewater treatment and debugging process and puts forward solutions. After the treatment, it can meet the national I standard of discharged waste water(GB 8978-1996)Through the studying on waste water treatment system during viscose stamp fibre production, the paper brings forward feasible technology method and also provides referable technology and design data for similar wastewater treatment.
