In order to search the workpiece of Guiding Tube 1 and Guiding Tube 2 with large dimension, variable cross section and thin wall, basing on the theory of computer graphics' transformation of coordinates and graphic display as well as the condition of Unigraphics software, we applied the method of NC cutting machining simulation of CAD/CAM and finished the study of Guiding Tube 1 and Guiding Tube 2's CAD model, machining operation in different level and milling type of fixed-axis cavity milling, and geometric simulation.The dissertation includes such the contents as following:The first chapter is the exordium, which introduces the research background, significance, the NC machining status at present, the aim and the research content.The second chapter introduces the way and the steps of UG/CAD direct modeling and free surface feature modeling to construct the three dimensions CAD model body of the Guiding Tube 1 and Guiding Tube 2, and analyze the reasons of wrong parameter and wrong selection to the curves, which cause some wrong model.The third chapter introduces the way of machining operation in different level and milling type of fixed-axis cavity milling, and the step to define the CAM parameter, graphic programming, create the cutting tool's path, and simulate the rough and the final machining basing on the constructed CAD model body.The fourth chapter introduces the step to deal with the built moving path of the cutting tool with the UG/post builder.The fifth chapter introduces the application of the high speed cutting theory for the NC machining.At last, the author sums up the whole research content and brings forward a new NC machining mode for the company.
