As one type of underground buildings,underground commercial street plays an important role,with the exploiting and using of underground spaces. Underground commercial street fires have been gloomy at the moment because of the particularity of the more combustible substance,the big fire loads,the long time of the imperfect combustion,the personnel evacuation difficulty and so on. Underground commercial street with its closed,exits lacked,the people density being large,fires in the underground building are much danger than the over ground building.The hazards of smoke are especially strict in underground building,so smoke control and human evacuations in the underground commercial street have more and more focus.Smoke control and human evacuations in the underground commercial street fire are selected as the subject of the paper.The main works in this paper are fire scenarios,heat release rate,smoke danger and control,human's behavior study and security evacuations,fire model of underground commercial street and so on. In the paper,HRR enactment is based on the true clothing burning experiment.In the fire simulation,according to the features of the underground commercial street and determined fire scenes,FDS(Fire Dynamics Simulator) is used to simulate the growth of fire,smoke flow state and effect of smoke control.Qualitative and quantitative analysis is also given combied with fire protection regniation in our country.Through the underground commercial street measured in the number of staff and the computational safety evacuation time,the most dangerous fire compartment is selected,with smoke reached the dangerous state to determine whether the personnel can security evacuated.On the comparative analysis of the various fire scenes,it is indicated that the most dangerous states are the stores next to the exit when there is fire in the fourth fire compartment on the first floor under the ground.When there is fire on the first or second floor,and the mechanical smoke venting system is open,people can safely evacuate to the ground.When the fire broke out,no matter where is the fire situation,if the mechanical smoke venting equipment is open in time,people can be ensured evacuate to the ground.So the building is accord with the safety evaluation criterion.The results achieved in the paper not only provided some bases and directions to the fire protection design of underground commercial street,but also could be regarded as the reference of fire safety engineering research on other underground buildings.
