Amphiphilic macromolecule, for its special properties, has been the hot point of the research working in the world. Such polymers can interact strongly with surfactants in solution resulting in forming the macromolecule complex, which is greatly used in many industrial fields such as mineral processs, tertiasry oil recovery, paint formulateon, water treatment and so on.The amphiphilic macromolecule system was synthesized by micellar free radical copolymerization method through redox initiator system initiated polymerization. The influence of electrolyte, temperature and surfactant on the aggregates conformation of amphiphilic macromolecule in aqueous solution was studied by viscosity, scanning electron microscopy and other methods. The conclusion as followed: Compared with the conventional surfactants DTAB, the Gemini has more superior performance such as much lower cmc values, much stronger efficiency at decreasing surface tension of water and the interfacial tension of oil/solution interfaces; There was obvious influence of molecular aggregation behavior and molecular aggregation form on the solution rheological character. The molecular interaction enables the amphiphilic polymers to have the strong ability of viscosity enhancement even at relatively high salt concentration and high temperature; Due to the self-assembly, different surfactants in polymers solution would causing different thickening effect, and Gemini surfactant lead stronger effect on polymers than DTAB surfactants in solution; With fluorescence spectrum, through the test of the change of spectrum speciality of pyrene probe with the type, structure and concentration of the polymer, it can be found that amphiphilic macromolecule would form hydrophobic micradomains through the association of hydrophobic groups in polymer chains even at very low concentration, and the number of hydrophobic mierodomain would increase with the concentration; With the vacuum sublimation freezing-dryimg and rheological techniques, the salt, surfactant effect on the solution properties and the aggregate conformations of the amphiphilic macromolecule were investigated. The aggregating mechanism has been explored by the scan electron microscopy. Certain relationship had been proved between the rheology and microstructure of this polymer. The space network structure polymers solution was confirmed in this amphiphilic macromolecule aqueous solution. The special structure brings a special rheological properties and interaction method with surfactants.
