| With the improvement of people's living conditions and urbanization in China, healthy and comfortable indoor air quality in dwellings has become people's intensive requirement. Volatile Organic Compounds which have great impact on occupants' health and productivity are the main contaminants. To identify the problem, a sample survey and evaluate of five different buildings in Zhengzhou was undertaken. Based on this, we analyzed the factors affecting the concentration of indoor pollutants and got the conclusion. Only one family summer indoor VOCs concentration is overrun, others'are all eligible. Refurbishment materials, furniture, occupants'living habits outdoor air quality are the main factors affected IAQ. Compared to other cities, the general condition of Zhengzhou city is relatively good.To improve IAQ, the thesis brings forward some suggestions to solve IAQ problem, including: control of contaminants sources, new fresh air supply and decontamination technology. With theoretical analysis and experiment research, the thesis makes research on the application of ACF filter in air conditioning units to deal with volatile organic compounds. From the experiment research, we find that the resistance is proportional to the square of air velocity, optimal filtration velocity is recommended. Moified ACF filters apparently improve the efficiency and velocity of the absorption of formaldehyde, the effect of ACF modified by copper nitrate is the best among four samples. Ion copper has superiority in air sterilization. What's more, regeneration effect of ACF is satisfying. Some suggestions are also given to help to apply this new-kind filtration material into practice.This work will give the first hand data in improving dwellings IAQ, and it also offer some references to HVAC design and refurbishment in China. With low resistance and high efficiency, it is convenient to make application of ACF filter in air purification. Lastly summarizes the conclusions of this research and puts forward the future work. |
