Butanol is one of good fuel and additives of liquid fuel. With the biodiesel as the extractants, butanol was fermented. This way is just like that improved butanol was produced with the addition of high efficient combustion promotor in liquid fuel. With this way, the yield of butanol was increased. At the same time, it could leave out the course of solvent recycling, and save energy. The concentration of butanol and the yield of total solvent in biodiesel were increased when proper tween-80 was added to the medium in the process of butanol extractive fermentation. After model inference, it is found that the transferring speed of products from aqueous phase to extracting phase was enhanced and the balance time was shortened because of the addition of surfactants, and thus the butanol fermentation was improved. When the initial concentration of corn culture medium was 15%, fermentation technology conditions were comprehensively evaluated and optimized. In the optimized condition, the yield of total solvent in process of butanol extractive fermentation is 54.88% higher than that of traditional fermentation. At the same time, the concentration of butanol also reached 12.0 g/L.The cetane value of improved biodiesel was measured by combustion testing. Compared with the original biodiesel, the cetane value of improved biodiesel with more than 12.0 g/L butanol inside was increased in a certain level. Thus, the quality advantage of improved biodiesel was validated primarily.
