Research On The Spill Over Effect Of DuPont Safety Culture In China

Foreign direct investment (FDI) can benefit the related industry in the host country via spillover channels such as reverse engineering, skilled labor turnovers, demonstration effects, and supplier-customer relationships. Using the real successful stories of DuPont China, Safety Health & Environment Unit, from recent twenty years, we find positive externalities of DuPont's enterprise culture on Safety.In this paper, we analyze the spillover mechanism of safety culture, study the examples between company and employees, suppliers and customers, enterprise and community government, to define the rule of safety culture spillover effect in China, to lead the interaction between the company and local government, to optimize the social benefits.Also in this paper, we study the combination of the public management and enterprise operation, provide the consultancy to government on how to use the spillover effect of FDI, to setup the corporate culture & corporate social responsibility, and improve the safety condition of production management in China.
