The gas explosion accident occupies a major part at the coal mine safety accident. The traditional coal mine gas detectors have many peripheral circuits,not easy to be expanded and hardly to be promoted.Therefore it has momentous practical significance to apply the new technology and new method in the design of coal mine gas detector.According to the special requirements in the practical project,a way of Coal Mine Gas Detector is studied in this thesis,which is based on SOPC and implemented in a FPGA chip.The core is to create a integrative system,easily to dispose,easily to expand,easily to revise and eassily to inherit using the superiority of SOPC and IP.This article embarks from the coal mine gas detector's current technology, analyzes its existence shortcomings,and thoroughly research SOPC technology's characters.It carefully analyzes the process which the hardware and the software are realized.The gas sensor transforms the measured physical quantity of gas density into the electrical signal,recuperates electric circuit's gain control to send in A/D sampling instrument after the simulated signal is amplified by the analogy electric circuit's gain, the A/D sampling instrument under the control of A/D module transforms the signal sampling value to the digital signal,then delivers the data in FPGA,Niosâ…¡processes the gas density data and compares it with the warning threshold value which is set in advance,it will carry on the acousto-optic warning if the gas density surpasses the warning threshold value.In this paper,the whole system design is completed and the hardware structure has been further optimized.The user self-defined logic components such as A/D controller and key-dealing is finished by VerilogHDL language.which makes full use of the FPGA chip resources,lightens the CPU burden,speeds up the operating speed. The design is fulfilled under the support of the Quartusâ…¡software and the simulation result is given.The softerware is finished by Niosâ…¡IDE software.The simulation results show that the Coal Mine Gas Detector based on SOPC meets the needs of gas detection and has more merits than other methods.Thus it can be seen,the SOPC technology as a new research hot spot in the embedded system domain, which can be restructured and developed through a short cycle,will certainly hold the important position in the modern electron system design in the future.
