Floatation is the most important one of the clean coal technology. It has very important effect on recovery the fine coal and reduces the SO2 emission. If we want to increase the yield of float coal and reduce the sulfur content in floatation, we must use the assistant methods to strengthen the difference of surface property of mineral particles.Recently, the physical technologies of ultrasonic and microwave have extended the application range in floatation more and more. The raw coal of the samples using in the experiment are come from Huainan City and Henan Province. The author has the investigation of the effect on the float coal yield and ash content and total sulfur under the ultrasonic and microwave time and power. It also studies the technologies single use and combined use. In addition, the author studied of desulphurization mechanism and size composition of slurry combined with the technologies of XRD and grain size analysis.By the theoretical study and the analysis of the experimental results, it shows that:1. All the size composition of slurry changes according to the ultrasonic treatment time and power. The change of size composition is evidence. Different coal's change range is different.2. Ultrasonic treatment can enhance float coal yield and will not have evidence influence on ash content. On the other side, ultrasonic treatment has evidence influence on desulphurization of coal. Desulphurization shows increasing trend with the extended ultrasonic treatment time and increased power.3. Microwave technology can enhance the production rate of float coal, but we should choose appropriate treatment time and intension to control ash content in float coal.4. Microwave technology can removal the sulfur from coal. Desulphurization shows increasing trend according to the extended microwave treatment time.5. Though the ultrasonic combined with microwave is lower than the single use on the float coal yield. But the effect on the desulphurization is very obviously. From the data of the experiment, we can find that the desulphurization of microwave is better than ultrasonic in collaborative experiment. Selective heating character of microwave and temperature controlled by ultrasonic show that the collaborative experiment is a mild desulphurization method.
