Since computer is widely used in each industry at present, in this article, a study is elaborated around a set of software on adjustment calculation for gear hobbing machine. This software has been used for several kinds of gear hobbing machines produced by Chongqing Machine Tool Group Co .Ltd., such as Y3150E, Y3180H, YBS3120, YKX3132, and etc. It can calculate and confirm the complicated work instead of human.This article consists of the following parts:First, a description has been made on the model Y3150E gear hobbing machine which produced by Chongqing Machine Tool Group Co .Ltd. and won the national golden medal. It includes: main construction and transmission chain of the machine, adjustment of the machine and its related mathematical models.Second, the software, Calculation System for Gear Hobbing Machine Adjustment Parameters developed on the platform VISUAL C++6.0, was expounded. It can automatically calculate out all the adjustment parameters on the data keyed in by the user according to the prompts on the screen of the computer, include workpiece parameter, hob and process parameters.Finally, 5 groups of parameters have been used for testing the software. Both its functions and calculation reliability are all verified.
