In the 21st century, people's consumption structure and the level of consumption and consumption concept have been increasingly mature and diversified. Book, which been called "spiritual food" of the human treasures, as a commodity can not escape the tremendous impact of the development of the times. Modern man is no longer spend money to buy a single function, they want to buy fashion, enjoy buying, a delight to buy a new consumer demand. With the frequency increased of international exchanges, the development of trade and the developing of technology,Book design becoming more and more important. Since the 1980s, Book design and the other design areas, subject to the new media. The development of computer technology bring fresh air to the Book design.But,book design also face with the dual tests under great market impact,reader had already been weary of the monotonous visual language,they longing the desigh which can move their heart.In this paper, from psychological ,especially from social psychology and design psychology point of view to research books binding on the visual language. Through research the impact of community, age and individual characteristics of the human needs for the aesthetic to clear the development purposes of book design. Finishing the book design in the visual elements of the semantic, analysis and design through tangible and intangible feeling hints to move people's hearts, make it full of emotion.The thesis has five chapters. Chapter One is elaborated the art's dual dispositions to clear the connection between the design and the science ,and explained the major impact of psychology regarding to the vision language study . The second chapter makes the brief outline to the books design's historical , and contrasts the esthetic of different time. The third chapter concrete the books design's social attribute, and analyzes the connection of the visual arts and the social psychology, then explained this connection's influence in the books design future. The fourth chapter analyzes the book design's visual language, and revelated the book desigh's emotion using the psychology skill . The fifth chapter narrated the books design's future.Finally, summarized the"emotion imply"the characteristic in the books design.
