Using high pressure air to crush wool into wool powder,then the blend spinning fiber and skin-core fiber of wool powder/PP were prepared by blend spinning and composite spinning.The structure and property of these two kinds of fiber,different content blend spinning fiber and skin-core fiber of wool powder/PP and the performance of fabrics which was weaved by blend spinning fiber were all studied.In this paper,we mainly studied on the preparation and size of wool powder and fiber,the structure and property of these two kinds of fiber,the properties of fabrics of blend spinning fiber. We observed and took photographs of wool powder,the cross section and facade of fiber by PS-W2 optical electron microscope.And found that the majority of the wool powder size is less than two micrometer which is to conform to the requirements of blend spinning.The wool powder can be dispersed symmetrically.We studied the crystallinity and micro-structure of fiber respectively by the X-ray analyzer and FI-IR analyzer.We also took the reseach on fiber's mechanical property,dyeability,moisture property and so on.The results show that fiber of wool powder/PP has wonderful quality than PP fiber in some performances.Then we studied on the permeability,Water vapor permeability and Insulatical property of fabrics of wool powder/PP blend spinning fiber.The results of our research show that:the breaking strength and initial modulus of wool powder / PP fiber both blend and skin-core fiber is higher than that of pure PP fiber;the skin-core one is lower than the blend one. dyeing rate and K / S are in the same trend: blend spinning fiber > skin-core fiber>pure PP fiber; moisture regain is skin-core fiber>blend spinning fiber>pure PP fiber.Fabrics of wool powder/PP has good ermeability,Water vapor permeability and Insulatical property and so on.
