In recent years, natural biological pigment and its application on textile has attracted people's awareness due to the imoprovement of environmental protection and safety. In this paper, the pigment from the Cortinarius rufo-olivaceus and the black bean were investigated.Stability of pigment and dyeing properties, such as dyeing process, dyeing performance to wool fabrics were studied. It is provided some base theories for the development of natural pigments for textile printing and dyeing.Ethanol as solvent, the optimized extraction process of the Cortinarius rufo-olivaceus pigment is solid-liquid ratio for 1:30(g:mL),extracting time for 2h under 80 ?.The results showed that this kind of pigment has a better stability toward acid, heat, salt, reducing agent and Al3+,but both Fe3+ and Fe2+ have an increasing color reaction to the pigment. And the pigment has a tendency to turn light brown in color over time under the sun condition. In this paper, the nanoscale homogeneous dye with the pigment-ethanol-water was constructed, the particle size is in the 350-430nm.By the single factor and orthogonal experiment, the optimal dyeing conditions were ethanol concentration for 40%(V:V),pH=3-4,dyeing time for 90min under 95 ?.Then we dyed wool fabric by chrome mordant dyeing, after chrome dyeing with potassium aluminium sulfate cerium, lanthanum chloride, chlorinated, tannic acid as a mordant. The results showed that only using tannic acid-metachrome process could improve the brightness of dyed fabrics. The wool fabrics were dyed with the black bean pigment, and the dyeing process and dyeing kinetics were dicussed. The optimal dyeing conditions were pigment concentration for 25%owf,pH=3-4,dye bath=1:30,dyeing time for 80min under 90-95 ?.The black bean pigment dyes absorption on wool fabrics were fitted with Langmuir adsorption isotherm, with the adsorption staturation value of the black bean pigment dyes on the wool fabrics was 13.62,19.03 and 18.12 mg/g respectively when the dyeing temperature was corresponding to 80?,90 ? and 95 ?.The anti-UV properties of dyed fabrics with the Cortinarius rufo-olivaceus pigment and the black bean pigment were tested. The results showed that the dyed fabrics have higher color depth(Integ value is 5 and 3,respectively)and fastness(The soap and rub fastness both are 5grade),but both poor fastness of light(The light fastness of the dyed wool with the Cortinarius rufo-olivaceus pigment and the black bean pigment are only 1 and 2-3 grade, respectively). In addition, the anti-UV properties of dyed fabrics with the black bean pigment have also been doubled. The results showed that the two kinds of biological pigments have the potential to be used in fabrics, such as underwear and socks.
