Zeta potential is an important index which reflects the stability of colloids and suspension. From the perspective of Zeta potential,discussing the flocculation reaction mechanism, researching and designing the entire scroll hydraulic clarify, is important for improving the quality of drinking water.The clarifier of high density reticular flocculation was designed,which was based on the research hotspot of high density clarifying technology and in combine with vortex diffusion,sludge suspension layer,wing sheet type inclined plates theory and material balance calculation equation.This clarifier's mechanism and effectiveness of water purification was identified by the raw water with the bed mud of Chan river. The conclusions were below:(1) We can see from the beaker experiment, by adding the quantity of the coagulant and regulate a PH value ,mix coagulant to add quantity and a PH value through an anlargEment, add coagulant aids also improve the capability of coagulant.(2) We can see PFS,PAC and PAFC coagulant with the Zeta potential passed to correspond changes diagram and can see, main effect with adsorb the bridging function as lord ,get an electric shock sex neutralization for assist ,but the AS take giving or get an electric shock sex to moderate as a lord ,and have adsorb the bridging function. The PAM mainly has already adsorbed a bridging function, in the meantime and have the electricity neutralization.(3) See from the processing result, we throw to add alone hour PAFC processing result better than PFS,AS, When match adding PAM can improve the structure of the floc. It can make a small floc become buckly and airtight actually, decrease the precipitates time, synthesis comparison first step to select PAFC to experiment the usage medicine for dynamic state ,choose to use PAM as a dynamic experiment coagulant aids.(4) This clarifier operates in a certain period of time in a stable condition,measuring water turbidity is in the basic stability of from 63.0 to 66.8 ,zeta potential is in the basic stability of from 13.0 mV to 13.7mV,which both are from the same sampling area in the wing slice reaction zone. It is noted that the clarifier operates in a stable situation. (5) When the clarifier was circulated in stability operation, we took the water sample on the same point. The residual turbidity of the water sample was 2.56, and the zeta potential of the particulate matter was -6.82mV when only added PAFC. The residual turbidity of the water sample was 2.13, and the zeta potential of the particulate matter was -5.36mV when added PAFC and PAM combined. Therefore, adding-combined was better than adding-single, the water quality of effluent was good.
