As improvement of people's living standard, people require the cloth not only to wear comfortable but also to maintain appearance and clean easy. And with the enhancement of people's environmental awareness, textile finishing which focuses on formaldehyde-free and multi-function becomes hotpot.A series of ionic polyurethane were prepared through isophorone diisocyanates (IPDI), polydiol, anionic extender dimethylol propionic acid (DMPA), and cationic extender N,N-dimethyl-N',N'-di(2-hydroxypropyl)-1,3-propanediamine (DMDHPPD A) which was synthesized by the lab. The dispersions of polyurethane/polysiloxane were prepared by self-emulsion of ionic polyurethane and polysiloxane composition. The structure and properties of polyurethane and polyurethane/polysiloxane dispersions were characterized by 1H-NMR, FTIR, GPC and DLS. The optimum preparation conditions and emulsification conditions of polyurethane/polysiloxane composition dispersions were determined.The optimum curing conditions of cotton finished by polyurethane/polysiloxane dispersions were determined by experiments. The formula and dose of polyurethane/ polysiloxane dispersions were choosed by wrinkle recovery angle, drape coefficient, breaking strength tests, and also its finishing effect were compared with 2D resin. Besides, ESEM, XPS were used to study the cotton fiber surface. The finishing effect of polyurethane/polysiloxane dispersions was good at wrinkle recovery angle, drape coefficient, breaking strength.
