In this thesis, a series of novel coordination polymers were synthesized by solvothermal/hydrothermal method and characterized by elemental analysis,IR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. These compounds are as followed [Mn(ndc)(bpy)-H2O] (1),[Mn(ndc)(phen)] (2), [Mn3(ndc)3(bpy)2] (3), [Cu2(pz)3(C1O4)2] (4),[Cu(pz)2(C1O4)·3H2O] (5) and [Zn(ndc)(pn)2] (6) respectively. And part of the compounds have been further characterized by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements. This thesis is consist of the following contents:1. Three novel 3D metal-organic coordination polymers were hydrothermal synthesized via the reaction between manganese salt and organic lignads ndc, bpy and phen. The magnetic properties of the three compounds were investigated by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility, and the results reveal that compound (1) and (2) are of antiferromagnetic property, while compound (3) is of ferromagnetic property.2. We describe the preparation and the structural characteristics of two novel copper(Ⅰ)-pz coordination polymers by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and element analysis. Compound (4) is a 2D net structural crystal with 3-coordinated Cu(Ⅰ); Compound (5) is a 3D framework crystal with 4-coordinated Cu(Ⅰ).They are compared with other reported similar structures.3. A 1D coordination polymer was synthesized by the reaction of Zn(ClO4)2 with ndc and pn.Comparing to the related compounds, the role of the ligands in the formation of the compound (6) was discussed.
