The Status Of Environmental Quality Of Surface Water And The Prediction Of Long-term Objectives For Control Of Pollution Control And Emission Reduction In Changchun City

The surface water body in Changchun City belongs to the Songhuajiang River basin. The main rivers are the second Songhuajiang River, Lalin River, Yinma river, Cachahe River, Yitonghe River. With the rapid development of economy and society, the growth of population, and increasing emissions of pollutants, the ambinet environment for surface water can not reach the requirements of functional area. The situation of environmental quality is very poor.The study was started in 2008. The water quality of main surface water body in Changchun City were monitored. The results show that the the water quality of sources for drinking water in the reservoirs of Xinlicheng Shitoukoumen are better and basically meets the requirements of the third-level surface water quality. But Analysis of historical data, the chemical oxygen demand, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, ammonia nitrogen and iron, manganese and other indicators may be excessive, the water quality trends of deterioration; the water quality in the second Songhuajiang River (Changchun part) is betweenâ…£andâ…¤category and ct not reach the requirements of functional area; in other areas such as Yinma River, Cachahe River, Yitonghe River, the water quality of the majority of surface water is the poor categoryâ…¤.The main reasons that the water quality surpass the standards were deeply analyzed including over the exceed of point sources, the complete collection of urban sewage, no construction of sewage treatment plants in the ; four industrial focus on lagging construction of sewage treatment plants in the catchement, no effective treatment of pollutioniving in rural areas, and larger water pollution load from farmland.The main measures and methods were presented to solved the problems of pollution with respect to the status of surface water pollutions in Changchun including the enforcement of environmental laws, the construction of environmental fundemental facilities, the protection of ecological environment, the comprehensive control of lager scale livestock and surface pollution sources.The estimate was made for the improvement of environmental quality after the implementation of pollution control measures. The conclusion is that the measures for surface souurcs pollution control in rural area and the protection of river ecological environment should be furtherly taken.The results of this study has practical guiding significance in prevention and treatment of surface water pollution in Changchun City in the future.
