Micro-forming as one of the key micro-fabrication technologies is attracting more and more attention.In the view of disadvantages in commonly used micro-drives,a new microforming device,which is drived by electromagnetic force,has been designed in the paper for checking the plasticity forming of microparts.A stamping test was carried out successfully with micron level parts.Extrusion and stamping processes were simulated by ANSYS finite element software in different processing speed and friction coefficient. The results successfully showed that this micro-forming device can process better quality and high accuracy parts.If the friction gets stronger,flowing of material will be non-uniform,and forming accuracy will also got down.Higher processing speed can significantly diminish the friction coefficient,so it can weaken size effect.It shows that the micro-forming system driven by electric magnetic force is very useful for micro-forming.
