Wool is an important raw material in textile industry.As a textile fiber,wool has many advantages,such as flexibility,good moisture absorption,warm and so on. Wool fabric has a nature luster,comfortable feeling and varieties of styles.The woolen apparel has a good style keeping,is not easy to crease and wearable.For these reasons,woolen fabrics mainly appear in spring,autumn and winter.There is a strong ultraviolet radiation in summer,and what people wear is thin and little.The skin is very vulnerable to UV damage.So,the fabric with good ultraviolet protection is strongly needed.In general,the fabric has a lower penetration of ultraviolet when it is thicker or has a deeper color.But it is contradicted with people dressed in summer.It is true that through the finishing coating,the fabric can be satisfied with the results of anti-ultraviolet radiation.However,the coated fabric has a poor performance of air and moisture permeability,it is not suitable for use in the summer.So,joining anti-ultraviolet fiber into fabrics to improve the performance of UV protection is a better solution.Ultraviolet resistant polyester fiber is produced by a special spinning technology with adding a ultraviolet separated particulate(nano-TiO2) in polymerizing.It is not only to reflect or shield the ultraviolet well,but also release negative ions to clean up the air,so it has a role in health care.We can get various styles of light fabrics with ultraviolet resistant polyester fiber/wool blended yarn by choosing a different blend ratio,designing a spinning process and the main technical parameters.The yarns of the fabrics have a same count, and the fabrics are designed with different density and texture.This paper analyzes the structure of the ultraviolet resistant polyester fiber,the different performance with ordinary polyester staple fiber including the mechanical properties and dye absorption properties.It also tests the ultraviolet protected effect of different specifications ultraviolet resistant polyester fiber/wool fabric,as well as the heat and moisture performance.The 16 physical parameters used in assessment of fabric handle style are also tested.The basic and integrated style of the fabric when it is used as men's suit fabric in summer is evaluated too.Through the fuzzy evaluation of the fabrics' heat and moisture performance,we can get the order of merits and demerits of the fabrics. By grey correlation analysis of the fabrics' integrated style,the main effect factors of it can be drawn,and we can judge whether it is in accordance with the subjective view. Through analysis,the conclusion can be drawn as follows:1) Due to the addition of nano-TiO2 in the production process,the strength of ultraviolet resistant polyester fiber is lower than ordinary polyester fiber.2) As the nano-TiO2 particles to join,there are more gap holes in or on the fiber, which improve its dye rate,but at the same time,increase the non-uniformity of dyeing.3) According to Chinese evaluation criteria of UV resistant fabric,it belongs to anti-UV fabric products when its UPF>30 and T(UVA)<5%.So,the samples used in this article are all anti-UV fabric products.In addition,the effect of UV protection is attained by spinning rather than by coating,which is conducive to the development of thin-and-light fabrics.4) Although the strength of anti-UV fiber is dropped as to the joining of the nano-TiO2,the effect of UV protection has increased obviously.Therefore the slight lower strength has not much of impact on the performance of the fabric.5) The fabric has a satisfying heat and moisture performance,which is suitable for use as summer apparel.6) The sample has an upper level evaluation of its basic and a comprehensive style when it is used as a summer men's suit.7) The style of the sample is objectively evaluated by mathematical methods, which provides a reference on summer apparel for the company.
