On the basis of molecular design and assembly, a series of organic-inorganic polyoxometaiates consisting of six porous compounds and one organic-inorganic hybrid by the reaction of saturated Keggin-type polyanions or isopolyanions and macrocations under appropriate synthetic methods. In addition, four other compounds based on polyoxometaiates have been obtained under the hydrothermal system. They were characterized by X-ray single diffraction, IR, UV-Vis spectra thermal, and electrochemical properties.(1) Four polyoxometaiates constructed by the polyanion [XM12O40]n- (X = SiⅣ, GeⅣ, n = 4; X = PⅤ. n = 3, M=Mo, W), the macrocation [Cr3O(COOH)6(H2O)3]+ and the bridging K cations appear a 2D infinitely extended layer structure with honeycomb-like apertures, in which the macrocation/polyanion ratio is 1:1.(2) Two organic-inorganic hybrids consisted of saturated Keggin-type polyoxoanions and macrocations [Cr3O(ClCH2COO)6(H2O)3]+ were synthesized, in which the macrocation/polyanion ratio is 4:1.(3) A novel compound was obtained by the reaction of a octamolybdate cluster [β-Mo8O26]4- and macrocations [Cr3O(C6H5COO)6(H2O)3]+, in which the macrocation/polyanion ratio is 4:1.(4) Four 1D compounds have been synthesized by the hydrothermal methods which were constructed by Strandberg-type cluster [Mo5P2O23]6-, molybdovanate cluster [V2Mo6O26]6-, sandwich-type polyanion {Na[Mo6O12(OH)3(HPO4)(H2PO4)3]2}3- and dimeric anions [Mo2O7]6- respectively.
