The method of Sensory Evaluation has been introduced to the garment industry in order to improve each part in the chain of this industry, such as market investigation, product designing, quality control, and personal consumption service. The whole process of clothes sensory evaluation is composed by the operations, which are evaluation, analysis, mathematic formalization and data mining. They are used to extract the clothes'senses from different dimensions, such as color, style, textile, and so on. But most of the methods for clothes sensory evaluation are just limited in semantic description and only a few methods offer approach to mathematic formalization of clothes sense. In these ways, it is difficult to deal with many recent problems in this industry perfectly.Based on the former research on relative areas, the sensory information, evaluation of the sensory and the characteristics of the sensory created by clothing are investigated and discussed to create the concrete basis for sensory information acquisition.The methods of sensory information acquisition and analysis are studied. The evaluation approach applied on clothing sensory research are compared and discussed. Based on the results of these work, the characters and adaptability of different methods are obtained.The concept for sensory evaluation is also created in this work based on the methods in being and improved by the fuzzy theory, which is a part of intelligent technology. It is purposed to formalize and analyze the clothes sense by mathematic way. In the paper, it has not only designed some models for various sensory evaluation issues in garment industry, but also grouped these models due to different application.These practices involve in personalized service in internet retailing, product designing and development, and feedback of market trend.
