Cotton colored yarns are converted by blending the dyed cotton with raw cotton fibers or mixing two or more kinds of dyed cotton fibers in the given blend ratio.The characteristic of cotton assorting in dyed yarns will directly affect the yarn quality.Based on the former researches,this paper mainly studied the comprehensive evaluation of the properties of the dyed cotton fibers and constructed the prediction model of the colored yarn quality.The method of contribution value in partial correlation was adopted to abstract the dominant parameters affecting the fiber comprehensive quality,and the parameters included micronaire value,upper half mean length,breaking tenacity and uniformity ratio.Referring to current standard of cotton fiber quality,the characteristic value of grading in the evaluating indicators of the mixture of the dyed and raw cotton fiber was formulated by converting the evaluating indicators with employing the fuzzy grading and the degree of membership,and consequently,the evaluating index was obtained to represent the fiber quality comprehensively.The evaluating index integrated the characteristics of fiber quality into a specified index which could reflect the primary characteristics of fiber quality adequately.By employing cluster analysis,it was possible to realize sorting and classifying the raw and dyed cotton fibers.It was shown by analysis that the evaluating index of the blended fibers was significantly related to the yarn quality.On the basis of SPSS analysis software,the combined predication model of yarn qualities,including of breaking tenacity yarn unevenness,thin places,thick places and neps,were constructed.It was proved that the results of the forecasting model were matched well with the tested ones.The cotton assorting technology of colored yarns is a combination of academic and practical systematic engineering,unavoidably,there is a discrepancy when handle determination and visual test are employed in cotton assorting.Therefore,with the help of modern testing equipments to improve the precision of cotton assorting and predict the yarn quality,it's beneficial to stablize the manufacture,develop the new products,reduce the production costs and raise the economic efficiency.
