The paper summarized the development of phenolic resin, analyzed the present situation of phenol formaldehyde impregnating resin and the development of panel-based formwork. The problems of phenol formaldehyde impregnating resin were the free content highly and it was curing slowly. In view of these questions, we have a mass of experimental study about PF impregnating resin. We have studied the synthesis craft with PF resin as well as the relation about structure and performance catalyzing with barium hydroxide. The impregnating and drying technology and hot pressing technology of the PF impregnated film also were studied. The main body content divides into four parts:(1) Phenol formaldehyde impregnating resin's synthesis craft analysis and research. First, choose the catalyst to carry on the preliminary experiment and indicated that take the Ba (OH)2 as catalysts, PF resin reacted easy to control and the effect of impregnating paper to be good. Then research synthesis craft with the Ba(OH)2 catalysis PF resin, experiment from formaldehyde/phenol molar ratio, the amount of catalyst, reaction temperature and time and so on. Through the experiment, has discussed the above factor influence on the PF resin's performance and free content, determined the synthesis craft with Ba(0H)2 catalyze phenol formaldehyde resin. Moreover, paper has analyzed the PF resin synthesize reactions and principle.(2) Synthesis and cure reaction research with PF resin. In this part, experimental study the PF resin frame, the synthesis and cure reaction. Through analysis FTIR spectrum attribute about the PF resin different cure condition sample, qualitative studied resin group's types and content change with cure agent. Research has confirmed the resin synthesis principle and explains the resin fast cure reason.(3) In the synthesis of a high performance resin under the premise of the film impregnated paper drying process were studied by the second impregnation drying process to identify a suitable drying temperature and time: 140℃~150℃and of the best drying temperature, the first time in the drying time between 35 to 50s for the best, the second drying time in between 60 to 75 s can be achieved relatively good drying effect.(4) Research of film performance with the phenol formaldehyde resin impregnating paper. In order to confirm the resin's performance, use phenol formaldehyde resin impregnating paper film formwork to carry on the experiment. Simultaneously study on the formwork filming hot- press craft. The result indicated that physics performance with film formwork to be good. Confirm hot-press craft: The hot-press temperature is 140℃~150℃, hot-press time is 6min~10min. It solved the cure slow about PF impregnating resin film formwork.In summary, this article research, and in fact all has the reference value to the PF resin development and the applied research in the theory.
