By the rapid development of the Ethernet, it is being applied into more and more industry fields. Until the bus technology of the real time Ethernet turns up, it become possible that the Ethernet applies on the control fields. More and more international and national manufacturers have launched into large numbers of manpower and material resources to carry through the research and apply of the real time Ethernet technology. My text adopted the RTEX real time Ethernet bus technology from Panasonic as the controlling bus of the new generation numerical control system. Basing on the Ethernet bus having the flexible topology structure, outstanding anti-interference ability, cheap wiring cost and equipment cost, we successfully applied RTEX protocol to the linear motor controlling of Sodick company. After lots of debugging, we have successfully built up the motor platform, carried out all-round verification in RTEX applying in the numerical control system, and completed the research and development of the new generation numerical control system which is basing on the RTEX protocol.Reference to the theory studies of the RTEX protocol and the plenty of experiment, we tested the controls stiffness of the A4N servo basing on the RTEX bus. After the analysis on all the data, we got the conclusion on the feasibility and limitation of the A4N servo application. As a new technology, The real time Ethernet bus will be applied on more and more numerical controller. The object of my research is to validate the feasibility about apply the real time Ethernet bus on numerical controller, and to find the direction for the next researching.
