As the continuance expanding of adding supplemental selenium element activity in the worldwide, It is known again that supplementing selenium get more and more vital in our healthy life. Furthermore, the selenium development has became a important studying in environmental geochemistry. In this study, we select the representative areas of rich selenium element as research object, which is Yutangba of Shuanghe town, the city of Enshi in Hubei province. A relative comprehensive investigation was conducted on the arable land soil and the selenium content in plant using atomic absorption spectrometry. In addition, the selenium content of rock stratum in the northern part of Shuanghe were educed in contrast to previous research, in order to know the distribution of selenium in rock, soils, stream water, plant species and take preliminary evaluation to local ecological effction. Refers to other two area of the selenium product development pattern in our country, the one is our second big rich selenium area - Zieyang, Shanxi, The other is Zhejiang. The objective is to provide a sustainable development for their constructive comments of Se industry.As the conclusion as for:In basic research, the causes of volcanic rocks of the Se-rich carbonaceous siliceous rock and carbonaceous shale are the original source of Se for soils and plants in Yutangba。Through the man-made factors and natural factors,Se which due of the tendency of selenium-enriched rocks in south of northern Yutangba transfer into soil, making the agriculture to be possible in the clutivaed soil concentrate the massive selenium. The content of Se which was migrated from soil to crops related of both the selenium content of soil and concentrate ability of plant. It is provides a theoretical basis for positioning of the product development in Yutangba.In development aspect,Enshi situated in the latitude 30 N where famous of production of tea,and there medicine herbs selenium content is higher than the Ziyang area obviously. Profits from Ziyang and the Zhejiang area the development of positive and effective measure,in light of the characteristics of Enshi region,the paper put forward a series of feasible advises for local production ,such as tea and traditional medicine herbs. We recombined with the emerging tourism in Enshi , making the elementary formation of Se production diversification,industrialization and intensive development of the structure.This topic only study to the selenium content of rock, the soil, plant preliminary in Yutangba,Enshi,and in accordance with other area in our country the development situation of selenium products,proposes development tentative way in Enshi.
