In this paper, the carbon bisulfide in flowing condition was carried out by the means of Dielectric Barrier Discharge(DBD) technology. The different background gas and synergy of DBD and catalysis was studied to remove carbon bisulfide.(1) In the simulated nitrogen and air under normal pressure, the influence of input power of electrical source, the initial concentration and gas flow rate on carbon bisulfide removal rate were studied in the non-equilibrium plasma, the results showed that removal effciency of carbon bisulfide in air was higher than in nitrogen. The results showed that oxygen could promote the degration of carbon bisulfide.(2) To improve the removal effciency of carbon bisulfide and reduce the energy consumption, the synergy effect between DBD and catalysis was studied in this paper. Loading a catalyst (TiO2, TiO2-coated palygorskite powder, or MnO2) in three sections of plasma reactor, the results showed that photocatalyst in discharge section and MnO2 in aferglow section could improve the removal rate of carbon bisulfide efficiently. When the input power of electrical source is 45 W, the catalysts have no improving the removal efficiency of carbon bisulfide. The removal efficiency was improved when the input power increased. Carbon bisulfide removal rate increased by 10%. By ananlysing the energy yield in the DBD/MnO2, the catalyst improved the energy yield. Energy yield increased with the increasing of initial concentration and gas flow rate.
