In recent years, with the continuous exploiture and use of oil and natural gas resources, the importance of paving long-distance pipelines exhibits gradually, the application of all-position pipe welding is increasing. This welding is labor-intensive and low productivity, so designing an all-position automatic welding systems becomes the trend at the development of the equipment for pipeline welding. At present, automatic welding equipment uses arc length as the basis for parameters' change and sub-paragraph, leading to only a limited number of pipe can be welding, and different diameter needs different programming. This way increases the difficulty of the operationand and makes the system parameters change jumpily. This paper redesigns the automatic control systems contraposing an imported automatic welding equipment. Then all-position automatic welding equipment can be seasoned with various of welding environment, and have real-time adjustment basing on the actual situation of the locale.This paper mainly researches in several facets as follows. To hardware this article adds an angle sensor to increase the real-time acquisition function, which is designed to meet the different diameter of welded pipes, increase the scope of application. And this equipment can give the system a real-time acquisition, which is closely related to welding arts and crafts, to rework system parameters in real time. Workers do not have to program continually, then the difficulty of the operation is reduced, the system have a more superior performance;To software,Make all of the variational system parameters do curve fitting to find their function and relationship between 0, so that all parameters can change smoothly,then a more optimized system performance will appear.The control system referred in this paper not only has the fast, accurate, reliable and low ratio at performance to price character, but also make it easier for people to communication with the machine and reduce the difficulty to operation. At the same time, the hardware and software scheme referred in this paper provide a new reference for the development and application of welding control field.
