In recent years,organic-inorganic nanocomposites have attracted greatinterests from scientists.This new type of composites exhibit properties far superior to those of separate components,which makes them widely used in many field.In this paper,we used Tj-2MMT prepared poly(vinyl acetate)/montmorillonite nanocomposite latexes by means of in-situ semi- continuum intercalation polymerization.mostly,we studied the films's erode resistance of composite latex and common latex.besides this,we studied the performance of coatings.The composite latex's micro-structure and basic performance was studied.The Fouroer Tansition Infrared(FT-IR),The X-Ray Diffraction(XRD) and Transmission Electron Microscope(TEM) characterization of nanaocomposites suggest that the MMT interact with PVAc strongly,the MMT's layer structure was destroyed and formed exfoliated nanocomposite latex.the nanocomposite latex's performance improved higher than common latex.The effects of the initiator,reaction temperature,emulsifier and MMT dosage on the performance of latexes were studied by mono-factor experiment.The results showed that, under the 65-70 oC reaction condition,when the emulsifier,initiator's dosage was 0.6g, MMT dosage was 5%of the monomer quentity,the performance of latexes was best and the PVAc/MMT composite latexes was an exfoliated nanocomposite latexes.Its water resistance improve 2.7 times compared with common PVAc latexes.The effect of MMT dosage on the structure and performance of nanocomposite latex was studied.The X-Ray Diffraction(XRD) and The Fouroer Tansition Infrared(FT-IR) characterization of nanaocomposites showd that:there was no diffract apex in lo-10o diffraction angle when the MMT dosage was 5%,the composites was exfoliated nanocomposite latex;the MMT's intercalate degree was correlation with MMT dosage. The erode resistance of nanaocomposite latex film was studied.After contrasted the nanocomposite latex and common latex,the nanocomposite latex film's UV resistance,humid and heat resistance,nature resistance better than the common latex's film.The collocation of coatings was studied.Used Fe3O4 red pigment prepared red coatings.the face and performance of nano coatings better than common coatings.
