Epoxy resin is a thermosetting resin with some good features including electrical properties, chemical stability, adhesive, processability and so on. Hyperbranched polymers are a new functional polymer materials which have highly branched structure , good-solubility , low viscosity and high chemical reactivity. Epoxy resin was obtained by utilizing hyperbranch technology in order to make the hyperbranch epoxy compound have the characteristics of epoxy compound and hyperbranched polymers. It provided a new way to explore the synthesis, modification and application of epoxy resin as well as to seek a more excellent performance epoxy resin and improve the performance of epoxy resin composite materials. It also can ensure the promise of superior performance of epoxy resin to increase the heat resistant, toughness, weather resistance, flame retardant and so on.the synthesis and application of hyperbranched epoxy compound has attracted great interest. The synthesis of hyperbranched epoxy resin mainly include the synthesis of hyperbranched polymer and the end-epoxidation,the key of the synthesis is the introduction of epoxy groups. Its synthesis methods mainly are epichlorohydrin indirect method. double bond addition method, double bond oxidation method, proton transfer polymerization. The difference between proton transfer polymerization and the other three methods is the epoxidation which could resolve in one step in order to reduce the impact of the properties of epoxy resin under high hydrolyzed chlorine. In this paper ,we present a novel hyperbranched epoxy resin base on triglycidylisocyanurate(TCIC) as an B3 monomer and The bisphenol A(BPA) as A2 monomer. The synthetic procedure is an proton transfer polymerization taking tetrabutylammonium bromide as catalyst in the THF at the appropriate temperature. Polymer were characterized by IR, NMR and GPC analysis. The influence of molecular weights and viscosity number are investigated by different feed ratio, reaction times, catalyst concentration, momomer concentration. The influence of the epoxy value of product is also investigated by different feed ratio. It also mainly study the reaction temperature on the reaction yield and do some research on epoxy resin curing reaction kinetics. The results showed us that the product has good high-solubility, low viscosity and thermal stability. DSC datas showed the apparent reaction activation energy of hyperbranch epoxy resin with DDS calculated from Kissinger's and Ozawa's models .the results showed that the curing reaction was first order reaction. In the meanwhile, the best curing reaction conditions was obtained.
