The Rapid Prototyping manufacturing technology appeared at the 1970s, which is a core component of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology. UV Stereolithograghy(SL) is the earliest commoditied and the maximum market share of RP. At present, the main defect of manufacture made by SL is its poor performance on the precisions and mechanical properties. It is caused mainly by the poor performance of molding materials, which are hindering the SL technology development.According to the solidified mechanics of photosensitive resins and synthesis principle of polymer, a photosensitive resin with high performance and suitable for general UV-curing were developed by a lot of experiment. In the meanwhile, curing process is determined. The photosensitive resin with high curing rate, high-degree of cure, and better mechanical behavior. The volumetric shrinkage of the obtained resin is 2.39%.In order to further enhance the performance of the obtained photosensitive resin, the SiC whisker which has high modulus, strength and high temperatures was treated with coupling agent and dispersed in the photosensitive resin, the SiC whiske/Resin Matrix Composite was prepared. The bond mechanism of interface and action mechanism of coupling agent was investigated. In this foundation, the KH550 was selected to the surface treatment of SiC whisker. Finding, use acidizing solution of acetone-coupling agent to treat SiC whisker can obviously improve the performance of composite material. The influence of different contents whisker in the resin to the curing rate was investigated. The results show increase the quantity of whisker in the photosensitive resin have passive effect to the curing rate. The manufacturability ,microhardness, tensile-strength of SiC whisker/Resin Matrix Composite was investigated. The results indicted :SiC whisker are consistent with no influence on curing process. The mechanical property of SiC whisker/Resin Matrix Composite have more improved after it had been modified by SiC whisker.
