The numeric control programming is an important part for wire cut EDM, which is critical technique that decides the quality of the parts. Some parts with complex outline need tired calculation which easily makes mistakes. Automatic programming can solve this very well. Only by this, can we realize the automation of manufacture. On the basis of collecting lots of national and abroad materials, we develop the auto-programming system of WEDM-HS combined with machine toosl in the training center by analysing the present status of auto-programming system. It is meaningful to the manufacture that the system can realize the fitting for the curves with complex outline and improve the automation of the traditional WEDM machine tools. For this system, AutoCAD2000 is selected as the platform for the development. ObjectARX2000 is the development kit. The system functions through four steps. First, draw graph in two dimensions. Second, click the menu defined by the author and a dialog box pops up. Third, input the appropriate technical parame- ters. Fourth, click the button and the code automatically presents in the edit box. What is achieved in this paper are as follows:(1) The method to sort data avoids dead loop efficiently.(2) The method in which the program responds to the menu referred in the paper and meaningful to the developer.(3) Data abstraction is realized by struct and selection set. By the selection set, we get the outline of the parts. We store the data in the structure.(4) By programming, we realize finding roots of complex equations. By exemplifying elliptic arc and adopting equal error method of beeline approaching, we achieve the fitting for non-circular curve.
