Abstract/Summary:
The aim of this thesis is the synthesis of new a series of nanoscale molybdenum clusters compounds and the functionalized molybdenum clusters compounds via water solution synthesis methods. The study on synthetic conditions and rule for these new compounds are also carried out.The new polyoxometalate compounds have been synthesized on the basis of routine methods and structurally characterized by elemental analyses, IR, TG, UV and single crystal X-ray diffractions.1. Two new nanocapsule polyoxometalates have been water solution synthesized and structurally characterized: [FeIII30MoVI72O252(OAc)15(H2O)90]·xH2O (OAc = CH3COO-, x≈200) (1) [H3PMo12O40](?)[FeIII30MoVI72O252(OAc)15(H2O)90]·xH2O (OAc=CH3COO-, x≈200)(2)These clusters have high degree of polymerization and nanoscale, as well as striking the topological characterisitics. It is interesting and challenging to explore new organic super fullerenes which are neutral, hollow and nanoscale for application in biological supramolecular chemical system.2. Two new functionalized polyoxometalates clusters have been water solution synthesized and structurally characterized: Na6[HO(CH2CH2O)4H]3{Mo36O108(H2O)14(OH)6[HO(CH2CH2O)3H]2}·75H2O(3) [H3PMo12O40] (?) [FeIII30MoVI72O252(OAc)18(PEG)6(H2O)90]·xH2O (OAc=CH3COO-, PEG= OHCH2CH2OH,x≈200)(4)The compound 3 is the first polyethylene-glycol-fragments-functionalized {Mo36} compound, two covalently-bonded PEG fragments like POM's arms. Then, the compound 4 is the first polyethylene-glycol-fragments-functionalized {Mo72Fe30} compound, it opens a new world for the future study of nanocapsules.
