In this article, PANI/metal composite nanomaterials were successfully prepared through UV rays irradiation method in the presence of inorganic acid (or H4SiW12O40) and metal salts (AgNO3 or Cu(NO3)2), which were regarded as dopant and oxidant, respectively. UV rays played an important role in the synthesis of PANI/metal composite nanomaterials. The mechanism had been discussed. Moreover, the morphology, structure, and property of the obtained PANI/metal composite nanomaterials had also been studied.1. PANI/CuCl composite nanomaterials were successfully prepared through UV rays irradiation method in the presence of HCl and Cu(NO3)2, which were used as dopant and oxidant, respectively. The structure and morphology of the PANI/CuCl composite were characterized by IR spectrum, XRD pattern, HRTEM, ED, and TEM images. At the same time, the possible formation mechanism of the PANI/CuCl composite was proposed.2. HNO3 and AgNO3 were used as dopant and oxidant, respectively. PANI/Ag composite nanospheres were obtained through UV rays irradiation method in the presence of CTAB. The diameters of the PANI nanospheres and the Ag nanofilaments were 10-60 nm and 2-5 nm, respectively. The role of CTAB was studied.3. The NC fiber mats were prepared by high static voltage equipment. We used the NC nanofiber mats as a template to synthesize the SiW12 doped PANI/Ag composite nanotubes through UV rays irradiation method. The Ag nanoparticles dispersed in the PANI nanotubes are very uniform. The morphology of the PANI/Ag composite nanotubes was shown in the SEM and TEM images. The average outer and inner diameters of the PANI/Ag composite nanotubes are 200 and 170 nm, respectively.4. The PANI/Ag composite nanotubes with high surface areas, small diameter, and porous nature have better performance in both sensitivity and time response. Therefore, we examine the sensitivity and time response of polyaniline nanotubes in more details.
