Preparation,the Field Emision(FE) properties and the Magnetic properties have been deeply investigated in this thesis.It mainly contains the following works and innovations:1.Straw-like CuO nanostructures(nanostraws) have been synthesized largely by hydrothermal.The length and the radius of the nanostraws are in the micrometer scale and nanometer scale respectively.Needle-like CuO nanostructure and Prism-like CuO nanostructure also have been fabricated through changing the reaction time and reaction temperature while keep the other experiment environment constant.The principle of the difference between the morphology also has been discussed qualitatively.We have do the X-ray Diffraction(XRD) and Raman spectrum to determine the purity of CuO nanostraws.The result shows the purity of CuO nanostraws by our hydrothermal is better than other methods.Beside of these above, the magnetic properties of the CuO nanostraws have been discussed deeply.We find the magnetic properties of the CuO nanostraws have direct relationship with the CuO nano mophorlogy.After the as-obtained nanostraws have been annealed at 1000℃to change the morphology from nano to bulk,the magnetic properties disappear.So we suppose that the magnetic properties only have relation with the nanostructure.Then Field Emission(FE) properties of the CuO nanostructures have been detected and the nanostraws have the best FE performance.So we suppose the tip emission takes the important status in the process of FE.2.Shuttle-like CuO nanostrctures have been synthesized by reflux condensation method and that nanostructures contain two very shap tips.The rice-like and cacti-like CuO nanostructures have been fabricated through changing the reaction time or reaction temperature.From the SEM photograph there are many tips in these nanostrctures,then FE experiments also have been done.The results indicate these nanostructures show excellent FE performance which means the lower turn-on field and threshold field.These excellent FE properties make these nanostructures be the good materials for the cathode in the FE display. 3.CuO nanowiress have been synthesized by electrodeposition.All of the neighbored nanowires have their ends sticked and knitted together from different orientations.The middle sections of the nanowires are all bent down.As the nanowires are synthesized by two steps,CuO nanowires are obtained by heating Cu(OH)2 precursor,so the process of synthesizing Cu(OH)2 precursor played an key role.The evolutions of nanowires with deposition time are studied in different time.
