The synyhesis, characterization and application in the metal enrichement and separation of cobalt, nickel and copper metal macromolecular complexes have been studied in this thesis. The paper consists of four parts as follows:1. A brief review of the study of macromolecular-metal complexes (MMC) has been given.2. The synthesis, characterization of corresponding Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+ macromolecular complexes(M-PSt/AA, Fig a) with series of poly styrene and acrylic acid (PSt/AA) were studied, and the adsorption behavior towards Co2+, Ni2+ and Cu2+ has also been determined.3. Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+complexes(M-SMA, M=Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+ Fig b) with corresponding hydrolyzation of poly styrene and maleic anhydride (SMA) were synthesised, and the characterization of the polymers and coordinations have been studied. The adsorption behavior towards Co2+, Ni2+ and Cu2+ has also been determined. 4. Nickel coordination polymer with terephthalic acid(Ni-BDC, Fig c) and fumaric acid(Ni-FMA, Fig d) have been studied, and the adsorption behavior of terephthalic acid and fumaric acid towards Ni2+ has been studied detailed. These Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+ complexes have been studied by means of element analysis, IRspectra, thermal analysis, atomic adsorption, scanning electron microscopy. The results show that these macromolecular complexes we synthesized arestructurally specific, insoluble in most organic solvents, and they can be used in themetal enrichement and separation. The craft is simple and the raw material can be used for repeated use, and it is a newgreen separate technology comparing to the transition one.
