This thesis consists of the following two parts:The first chapter introduces the development and application of Copper catalyzed O-arylation reaction. This chapter highlights the recent developments in the copper-mediated (both stoichiometric and catalytic) reactions of aryl boronic acids, arylhalides, iodonium salts, siloxanes, stannanes, and trifluoroborate salts as aryl donors. The second chapter mainly introduced the methods for the synthesis of O-aryloxime ethers in recent years. Known methods for the synthesis of O-aryloxime ethers include the reaction of the sodium salt of oxime with fluorobenzene derivatives, aldehydes/ketones with o-phenylhydroxylamine, or oximes with aryl nitrates/diazonium saltsThe second part is our study on the improvement in the systhesis of O-aryloximes. The Copper(II) acetate catalyzed coupling reactions of phenylboronic acids with aryloximes were performed at room temperature in DCE. A series of O-aryloximes was obtained in moderate to good yields In comparison with the previous methods, our reported catalyst Copper(II) acetate offers several advantages in terms of its simple operation, mild reaction conditions, efficiency, and easily availability and it is environmentally friendly. All those mentioned compounds have been determined by 1HNMR, 13CNMR, FAB and IR.
