This thesis describes an eutectic compound of amine perchlorate named SY, its preparation, structural character, basic performance and elementary applications. At room temperature, SY can be prepared by the EDA and TEDA reaction with perchlorate and then indirect cooling. The effect of solvent volume,feed velocity,process of cooling and stir conditions are considered and then crystal performance is favorable including uniform particles, good dispersion and great capacity of priming. As a result, optimum technique is produced. And the preparation process can be completed just by one step. Mother liquor can be used repeatedly without waste water. Furthermore, the yield can reach theoretical amount.The eutectic compound (SY) obtained was characterized by FTIR, HNMR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and single crystal diffraction analysis. The eutectic compound is the combination of SE and YE. The composition ratio of the SE and YE is 1:1. The prominent feature of SY is that it overcomes the serious moisture absorption of SE and YE. The initiating power of the eutectic compound (SY) to the RDX increases nearly four times than SE or YE. The experimentally determined velocity of detonation velocity (VOD) was found 7240m/s under the charge density of 1.65g/cm~3.Its brisance is 20.0 mm, which is 1.21 times of TNT. The expanded volume in lead block is 398 ml, which is 1.37 times of TNT. The compound exhibited very good thermal stability and is safe in terms of its sensitivity towards impact or friction in comparison to conventional primary explosive.The flame sensitivity of SY primary explosive can meet the current requirements of various industrial detonators, electric detonators and blasting caps detonating pipe. It can be inferred that SY possesses excellent thermostable property. SY are being developed in the application of oil well detonator. SY is also expected to be used as fireworks and shell.
