It is known that the size, shape and microstructre of inorganic h nanomaterials ave great influence on their properties and applications. Thus, the synthesis and property of inorganic nanomaterials (for example, nanowires, nanorod, hollow nanostructure and nanobundle) with special morphologies and microstruetures are of great importance for the basical and applied research of new inorganic functional materials. In this thesis, rare earth luminescence nano-materials with different morphologies were synthesized with surfactant-assisted hydrothermal and precipitation method. The structure and properties were characterized, and the formation mechanism of rare earth compounds with different morphologies werediscussed. The innovative results were obtained as follows:1. Preparation and properties of one-dimensional Gd2O3:Eu3+ nanomaterials(1) Gd2O3:Eu3+ luminescence nanorods were prepared by PEG-assisted hydrothermal method. (2) Gd2O3:Eu3+ luminescence nanowires were prepared by solvothermal snythesis using PEG as template and ethanol as solvent. (3) Gd2O3:Eu3+ luminescence nanorods were prepared by Na2H2EDTA-assisted hydrothermal method. (4) Gd2O3:Eu3+ luminescence nanowires were prepared by PEG-assisted precipitation method. All the materials have characteristic red emission of Eu3+.2. Preparation and properties of YF3:Eu3+ Nanomaterials with special morphologies(1)YF3:Eu3+ truncated octahedral nanomaterials were prepared by PEG-asssisted hydrothermal method using NH4F as fluorine resource, while using NaF as fluorine resource, the obtained YF3:Eu3+samples are nanobundles. (2)Bouquet-shaped YF3:Eu3+ hollow nanomaterials were prepared using SDS-assisted hydrothermal method.(3) YF3:Eu3+ nano-spindle were prepared using citric acid assisted hydrothermal method. (4) YF3:Eu3+ nanobundles were prepared using CTAB- assisted hydrothermal method. All the materials have characteristic red emission of Eu3+.
