In daily life the color of fabrics would become grey after washing,which not only brings much trouble to people's life but also causing pollution to the environment.Even though fabrics have been fixing treatment on Ex-factory,during storage,transportation and wash,the structure of dyestuff would be changed and dye-fiber bond would rupture because of oxides and reduced products,which would lead to fading,color change or staining.At present there are not much articles about protecting fabrics color during washing.There are two common method for protecting fabrics color during washing.The one is reducing the impact of oxidation and reduction on dyestuff in detergent.The other is dye transfer inhibition agent which could improve the problem of staining.In addition,adding fixing agent into detergent is also a good method to protect the fabric color,such as color care agent Ciba(R) TINOFIX(R) CL.In this paper deepening finish is carried out for fabrics during washing to keep its original color and show more brilliant.The common deepening agent is silicon resin,Fluororesin, polyamines resin,polyurethane.Considering silicon resin is widely used in textile finishing and could provide fabrics other good properties such as soft handle.At first we studied the color change of fabrics with different color and different fiber species after washing.The change degree of color was evaluated on the basis of K/S value,Lab value and AE.And the main reason causing fading was studied by testing rubbing fastness,staining fastness and fuzzing and pilling.The result showed that for the fabrics with washing fastness above 4△E was still below 1.0 after washing sever cycle times,but for the fabrics with washing fastness below 3△E could be more than 3.0.In the finishing process,padding treatment is applied to the deepening finishing.In this paper we discussed first deepening effect in dipping treatment,and chose silicone oil as research subject.The influence of refractive index,thickness of film,structure,viscosity, amino-value,emulsifier,and pH of emulsion were studied.And then the influence of hygroscopicity of fabrics,fiber species,fabric color were also studied.Silicone oil in the range of Refractive Index 1.4000-1.4010 had better deepening effect.Silicone resin modified by amino and hydrophilic group such as OH showed better deepening effect.And for black fabrics, there was a larger change in L~*-values than colored fabrics.But the color of colored fabrics was more purity than black fabrics.At last,we studied the washing process.The optimum process is as following:wash rinse and adding deepening agent at the last rinse(concentration of silicone:0.7o.w.f%,soak time of 5-10min)→spin→dry.
