| The process on cold drawing rod and wire of TC4 titanium alloy was analyzed in this paper,also the effect of preprocessing of cold drawing TC4 titanium alloy and drawing die parameter to the material formation were studied.Through choose the appropriate cold drawing parameter,the manner of cold drawing TC4 titanium alloy under room temperature became the truth.The components detection and microstructure analyse for cold drawing TC4 titanium alloy which obtained by hot deformation indicated the grain organization has occurred plastic deformation and imperfection recrystallization,the equiaxed grain was refinement and rheological structure was unambiguous,which is propitious to the continuous deformation of TC4 titanium alloy.The fracture of TC4 by hot drawing process showed toughness characteristic,along with addition of distortion,there were a lot of cavity in the bottom of dimple.The phosphate lubricant coating and oxalate lubricant coating were successfully gained during the surface preprocessing of TC4 titanium alloy,their thickness could be reached 2μm and 20μm,respectively.The compact combination layer between TC4 base and lubricant coating supplyed a nice cartier for anti-friction material,at the meantime,it could be functioned to separate the stock and drawing die.It was found that the oxalate lubrication coating functions better during the TC4 cold drawing processing and the surface quality of the obtained drawing stock was better,in addition,after continuous cold drawing 4 passes,the total deformation could be up to 45%, which can meet the production requirement.The strength of TC4 titanium alloy arised up nearly 35%after cold drawing,but the elongation decreased due to the obviously work hardening effect.The plastic recovered after annealing treatment,which would not affect the next pass of cold drawing.The organization of the TC4 titanium alloy became equiaxed after the annealing treatment,and along with the increase of deformation,the extent of equiaxed effect was raised.
