In this thesis, we reported BiCl3- and FeCl3?6H2O-catalyzed hydroalkoxylation of norbornene, the mechanisms of BiCl3-catalyzed hydroalkoxylation and hydroamination of alkene and the syntheses and characterization of three transition metal complexes incorporating pyridine-2-aldoxmie ligands. They are expressed in details as follows. In the first part, BiCl3- and FeCl3?6H2O-ctalyzed hydroalkoxylation of norbornene was reported. The resulted products were fully characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and MS spectra. In the second part, two possible reaction path ways for hydroamination and hydroalkoxylation of olefin were proposed, respectively. The proposed mechanisms were further confirmed by quantum calculation. In the third part, the syntheses and characterizations of three transition metal complexes with pyridine-2-aldoxime ligand were reported.
