With the rapid development of Chinese economy, the consumption of energy is increasing. Oil and natural gas resources are inadequate seriously,and the situation that coal is used as the main energy will last for a long time in our country. It's imminent to develop clear coal technology instead of outdated domestic technology.Dongbei lean coal ,Shanxi yangquan anthracite coal, Xiaolongtan lignite coal were used to study the gasification character in this peper. And the effect of different temperature and heating rate during prepared under pyrolysis process on gasification reactivity was investigated in this paper.The physical/chemical character of these coals after aicd washing and water washing was investigated. X-ray Fluorescence Analysis(XRF)was used to investigate the chemical component of these ashes. The experimental data showed the following results: The effect of acid washing was much better than water washing. XRF results indicated that water treatment mainly reduces Al2O3,SiO2 ,CaO content in the ash,but acid treatment mainly reduced the quartz and clay particles. Fourier Transform Infra Red Spectroscopy(FTIR) was used to study the changes of the structure of the samples. FITR showed water wahing or acid washing didn't change the organo-functional group in coal but affect the amount and chemical constitution of their ash.The coal samples were pyrolyzed with different heating rates. Total surfur contents of chars were determined by Isotherm adsorption/desorption method, and organo-functional group were mensurated by FTIR. The characteristic of gas release was studied during the pyrolysis on line. The transform disciplinarians of N and S were studied contrastively during coal pyrolysis and gasification .CO2 gasification behavior of these chars was investigated by Thermogavimetric Analysis(STA409). Gasification reactivity was determined by maximum reaction. The effect of coal rank and pyrolysis conditions on gasification reactivity of char was also inverstigated in this research. Kinetic parameters of char were evaluated using diffusion model.
