OGO process has been formed as a modification of OCO process through test research. As a advanced technology, it has the functions of phosphorus removal and denitrification with facilitation, effectiveness and economic. OGO technology has already been approved as Utility Model Patent (ZL2005 2 0010545.7). According to the characteristic of OGO system, the dissertation carried out test and analysis on the denitrifying phosphorus removal. The followings were studied:①The nitrogen and phosphorus removal effect and mechanism of denitrifyingphosphorus removal in the OGO system were analyzed;②The effect of the concentration of nitrate, COD and nitrite on the denitrifying phosphorus removal were studied;③The kinetic model of denitrifying phosphorus removal in the OGO system were established and evaluated.According to the above study, it is concluded that:1) The OGO system occur obvious phenomena of denitrifying phosphorus removal; when influent total phosphorus(TP) concentration is 2.83~6.76mg/L, the average removal efficiencies of TP achieve 84% , and 40% of the phosphorus removal amount is achieved by denitrifying phosphorus removal in the OGO system. 2) In anaerobic phase, with the increase concentration of COD, the amount and rate of anaerobic phosphorus release increase; but the anaerobic phosphorous release is inhibited when there is nitrate in anaerobic phase. 3) Anoxic phosphorus uptake is promoted when there is nitrate or nitrite in anoxic phase. But Anoxic phosphorus uptake is inhibited when there is COD in anoxic phase. 4) The anoxic phosphorus uptake is rarely influenced by the concentration of nitrate with the adequate nitrate as electron acceptors, while it is entirely inhibited when the concentration of nitrite is higher than 55.72 mg/L. 5) Establish and evaluate kinetic model of denitrifying phosphorus removal in the OGO system. The study is a part of the project"Treatment technique research of municipal sewage based on ideal flow pattern", which is funded by state's natural science foundation. This research acquired the values of important parameters that could be used in actual design and control as well as provide support for the engineering utilization of OGO in municipal wastewater treatment.
