Based on modal and dynamic response analysis theory of structure, taking the MeiShan steel corporation's F0 four rollers hot strip mill for example, theoretical research on the dynamic characteristics of parts and whole equipment of four rollers hot strip mill is presented in this paper deeply and systematically using finite element methods. The complete model of the mill frame is established, and the results of the complete model are compared with the ones of the unilateral frame model. By analyzing the modes of backup roll in different constraint conditions, the laws of the variation of natural frequencies and vibration modes and the laws of the effects of constraint conditions on the model of rolls are obtained. The dynamic responses of bearing seat are analyzed by using the finite element method, and the frequency-displacement rules of the key nodes which affect the precision of production are gained. The influence of the gap between bearing seat and mill frame to dynamic characteristics and stability are demonstrated and the corresponding measures are proposed to improve the current status. The finite element analysis model of the whole mill is built and the vertical vibration characteristics related to the self-excitation vibration of the rolling mill are discussed in detail. The variations of natural frequencies and vibration shapes of rolling mill in different roller gaps are analyzed. The results obtained in this dissertation offered basis and references on organizing production and managing equipments for corporation, and those also can provide the approaches for the design of high-performance rolling mill and the implementation of high percentage and precise production.
