Continuous rolling mill is the main production equipment of seamless steel pipe and is the most representative of the modern production equipment in hot rolling pipe,playing an important role in iron and steel enterprises.PQF continuous rolling mill is the most advanced rolling mill in the world,the most advanced technology in the world with high quality.It has the advantages of high quality,high yield,high efficiency,low consumption and so on.In the production process of PQF continuous rolling mill of a seamless steel tube plant,the fracture of coupling often occurs,which affects continuous production of continuous rolling mill.In this paper,based on the analysis of the finite element simulation of the lower transmission system of PQF continuous rolling mill,the cause of the fracture of the coupling is found out and the improvement scheme is put forward.First the PQF continuous rolling mill produces problem in the production of seamless steel tubes,the mechanical parameters of the drum gear coupling in the lower transmission are calculated.Then the finite element software ANSYS Workbench is used to analyze the statics and modal analysis of the drum gear coupling.Through the statics analysis,it is found that the stress and the strain increases to cause the fracture of the safety pin in the out of alignment condition,which causes the failure of the drum gear coupling.Through modal analysis,an order dangerous natural frequency of drum gear coupling is obtained,which makes drum gear coupling resonate,causing damage to drum gear coupling and reducing the service life of drum gear coupling.On this basis,the improvement scheme of the lower transmission coupling is put forward,and the drum gear coupling is changed to the ball coupling,and the safety pin size is changed accordingly.The static analysis and modal analysis of the improved ball coupling and its safety pin are carried out by the finite element software.Through analysis,we can see that the stress and strain of the improved ball coupling are smaller,and the strength and rigidity meet the requirements,and there will be no resonance phenomenon.The harmonic response analysis shows that the ball coupling reaches the peak value of stress when the external excitation is 700 Hz,800Hz and 1100 Hz.The external excitation of ball coupling should be avoided.The research results of the subject have been applied in the field now.The improved solution improves the service life of safety couplings effectively.The problem of the safety pin fracture caused by the defect of the drum gear coupling is greatly reduced.The equipment has been run smoothly,the accident rate andmaintenance work of the equipment are greatly reduced,and better economic benefits have been achieved...
