Air pollution has become a major problem facing humanity, sulfur dioxide has become one of the major air pollutants. More and more serious of the SO2 gas emissions, we synthesis some new types of functional ionic liquid absorbers by molecular design and first study of SO2 absorption and desorption characteristics of the absorption and the absorption mechanism in this paper and found that ionic liquid absorption with high SO2 absorption efficiency and better cycle performance. They can be expected as a new recycled desulfurizers. Based on room temperature ionic liquids can be designed, green and functional. They can be used as green organic solvents, applied to absorb SO2 acid gases.Through the solvent or solvent-free reaction, synthesis of amine acid salt-ionic liquids, we found that acid amine salt with a high SO2 absorption, 0.53 mole fraction can be achieved. Through radical polymerization, the absorption capacity of absorbents increase to 0.64, the cycle performances have some extend of improvement.Synthesis of many amines nitrogen and cyclamines ionic liquids, the study shows that many amines nitrogen formate ionic liquids are liquid, many amines nitrogen and cyclamines ionic liquids absorption with high efficiency, quick absorption rate, good cycling performance, the absorption of many amines nitrogen can reach 0.6774, cyclamines for absorption reached 0.6847.Synthesis of binary carboxylic acid ionic liquids, cation for binary carboxylic acid , anionic substances for short-chain tertiary amine. At room temperature or 283.2323.2 K constant temperature, we found that absorbents with rapid and efficient absorption of SO2 gas, the balance of absorption can be achieved after 13 hours, for the first time the volume of SO2 absorption and the molar ratio is equal or greater than 2.5, after the cycle many times, the molar ratio of absorption is still equal or greater than 1.9, SO2 absorbents to absorb some of which have crystal precipitation, and then crystal disappeared after desorption by heating.Research-based ionic liquids in the absorbents, we have emphatically studied the hydroxyl functional group on the absorption properties. The results show that absorbents containing the hydroxyl functional group can increase absorption rate, but lower absorption capacity.The SO2 can be desorbed by heating after the ionic liquid absorbents absorb SO2, desorption rate of 2 hours is greater than 90%, some up to 99%. After desorption of the absorbents can be recycled, absorption and desorption is still fast, efficient performance. Therefore, they has high application value, is expected to become a new type of sorbents used, and applications in flue-gas desulfurization and other SO2-containing gas purification.
