With the wide application of micromachine into engineers, a great amonut of money has been invested among many countries all over the world to manufacturing method of micromachine, which is micro-fabrication technology. cutting process of micro electrical discharge machining has become one of major researching objects for it has higher processing efficiency, better processing quality and ability to process complex three-dimensional parts and many advantages other micro processing methods do not have.So far, the research of cutting process of micro electrical discharge machining focuses on development and production of maching toosl. However, fundamental theoretical research has always lagged behind. Especially there is deviation between theory and practice in terms of recognization of surface topography of the cutting. Its surface topography is different from the traditional processing and EDM surface. Traditional measurement mode and measurement theory are unfit for surface of micro wire electrical discharge machining and this will hamper the further development of micro wire electrical discharge machining seriously.This paper adopts uniform design testing methods to process specimen of micro wire electrical discharge machining and under thd conditon that technological rule is not affected ,tests can be reduced but its comprehensiveness of reseach can be guaranteed. Data of 3-d surface topography can be obtained with the help of scanning probe microscope to scan specimens processed, surface topography is seprated and reconstructed using wavelet analysis method mainly including noise reduction, extractoin of base level, separatatoin of surface topography feathers. According to surface topography feathers of micro wire electrical discharge machining and its fuction application, corresponding characterization parameter are extracted, the evaluation system of surface topography of micro wire electrical discharge machining and its function is built with the purpose of supplying the evidence for evaluation standards of cutting surface of micro wire electrical discharge machining. And then with the application of regression analysis , variation rule of each parameter is summarized and nonlinear multivariate regression equations are built of surface topography and processing parameters to supply theoretical foundation of processing technology rules reseach of micro wire electrical discharge machining which can therefor have certain practical meaning for the development of cutting technology of micro wire electrical discharge machining.
