As the tremendous development in semiconductor process,the demand for functional materials is becoming more and more.The length of nanocrystalline materials has been developed comparable with Bohr radius,so semiconductor has recently drawn a great deal of attention.As a wide-gap semiconductor,ZnS is an important luminescent material.Therefore,the performance of large-scale preparation of ZnS films has become an important topic.When ZnS doped with rare earth ions or transition metal ions Ag+,Mn2+,Cu2+ as activators,it will change the ZnS band structure,and format different luminescence centers,show different performance in the PL spectra.When ZnS doped with Cu ions,it will format green luminescence centers,the concentration of Cu ion has greet influence with luminescence.The major results are listed bellow:(1) ZnS nano-film was synthesized by hydrothermal process.The structure of samples was studied by XRD.The XRD result showed that ZnS had a zinc blende structure.The photoluminescence performance of ZnS nano-film was studied by photoluminescence analyzer.The study found a suitable choice of temperature,time, agent,ZnS thin films performance is best.The final choice is:raw materials ZnSO4·7H2O,thiourea,NH4Cl;complexing agent sodium citrate;reaction solvent deionized water,pH is 10.5;Temperature is 90℃;Time is 5 h.(2) From Gaussian fitting curve of the PL spectra of ZnS nano-film,it can be observed that the three characteristic peaks:525,435,425 nm respectively which origins from surface state and S2- vacancy.(3) ZnS:Cu nano-films with different Cu concentrations was synthesized by hydrothermal process.The photoluminescence performance of ZnS:Cu nano-films was studied by photoluminescence analyzer.The result revealed that the luminescence intensity was changed when the copper concentration from 0 to 2%.The best photoluminescence characteristic of the nano-film was observed when the concentration of Cu is 0.1%.(4) This paper reported the sample with Fabry-Perot interferential wave in the PL for the first time.The quality factor of the samples was 30.3.
